Daniel Raydell Eubanks

Hendersonville – Daniel Raydell Eubanks, 71, passed away on July 20, 2014 at his home.

He was the son of the late Wade and Annie Laura Eubanks. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister; Ruth, brothers; Carl, Bill, Wayne and Jack.

Mr. Eubanks graduated from Brevard High School in 1962 and played varsity football in 1960 when Brevard won the state championship. For 13 years he worked for his father-in-law at Motor Parts &Machine Co. in Brunswick, NJ. After he returned home, he was employed by Brevard Auto Parts for several years. The past 30 years, he and his wife owned and operated Mills River Hardware in Mills River. During those years, he made many wonderful friends.

Surviving is his wife, Mary Ann; sons, Daniel Jr. and Darin; brother Bobby and wife Carolyn, sister; Jean and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank everyone who kept Danny in their prayers during this year long struggle with his illness. A special thank you goes to the doctors and staff at Brevard Cancer and Infusion Center for their support, kindness and care, especially to Dr. Lucas, and nurses, Mary, Di, Dorie and Jennifer also to Transylvania Hospice who played a short role in his life. We thank all for the excellent cared he received.

Recently baptized, Danny was ready to make his final journey home to be with our Lord. He was a loving, devoted husband, father, brother and a special person to many. He will be deeply missed.

Funeral Services will be held 3pm, Friday, July 25, 2014 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory.
