William Edward Kitchen

Brevard – William Edward Kitchen, 87, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 4, 2015.
A native of Jackson County, he was the son of the late Reginald Jordan and Stella Owen Kitchen and was the husband of the late Vivian Morgan Kitchen. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Jeter, Randall, James, and R. J. Kitchen.
Mr. Kitchen was w veteran of the U. S. Army, serving during WW II. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Surviving are his son, Edward Morris Kitchen and wife Pat of Brevard; daughter, Deborah Morgan and husband Otis of Rosman; brothers, Thomas “Cleve” Kitchen and Joseph Kitchen both of Brevard; sister, Donavee McCoy and husband Jack of Kalamazoo, MI; grandsons, Jason Galloway and Jesse Morgan and fiancée Lacey Goins all of Rosman, Thomas Kitchen and wife Carole of Etowah; great-granddaughters, Emma Galloway of Lake Toxaway, Sawyer Kitchen of Tenn.; great-grandson, Trey Kitchen; one great-great grandchild.
The funeral service will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at Cathey’s Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Lambert officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory.
The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 PM Tuesday at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Get Well Gage Trust c/o Wells Fargo Bank, Brevard, NC.
