Furber Nicholson
Furber Nicholson, 80, of Lake Toxaway, passed away on Sunday September 6th 2015 at home surrounded by loved ones.
He was born July 4th 1935 in Jackson County, North Carolina to the late Ralph and Gracie Mathis Nicholson. He was also preceded in death by his wife Rilla Johnson Nicholson of 59 years as well as sisters, Zula Alexander, Beverly Wilson, and a brother JC Nicholson.
Mr. Nicholson is survived by two sons Allen Nicholson of Brevard and James Nicholson (Cindy) of Liberty South Carolina, three daughters, Patricia Galloway(Stanley)of Lake Toxaway, Sandra Nicholson of Brevard, and Judy Jackson (Brian) of Mill Spring; sisters Polly Crowe and Eunice Guffey of Wallhalla South Carolina, Jean Morgan and Florence Henline both of Rosman and Mae Franklin of Lake Toxaway; grandchildren are Ashley Nicholson, Kyle Nicholson (Kimberly), Brandon Galloway(Leslie), Brittany(Jason)Nicholson, Kimberly Nicholson (George), Samantha Lovin(Charlie),Stephanie Melton, Amanda Palmer(David), Michael Nicholson, Wesley Jackson(Jordie)and Tiffany Cavender; great-grandchildren are Emma Nicholson, Koah Nicholson, Sage and Ansel Galloway, Jerry Melton, Brantley Lovin, Kimber Palmer, Abigail Bradshaw, Aaron Jackson Bella Nicholson, Bryson Jackson, Riley Cavender, Bentley Belue, and Stella Wilkinson.
The funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday September 9th 2015 in the Moody Connolly Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Tommy Madden and Jeff Massey officiating. Burial will be in the E. D. Owen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Tuesday September 8th at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the home of Patricia Galloway.
