Condolences

Condolence From: Denny and Cathy Owen
Condolence: Dear Aiken family, Cathy and I want you to know that your extended family in Easley is praying for all of you. Bro Ray and Sis Jean will always have a special place in our hearts. We always looked forward to them being with us at Victory Baptist Church, listening to Bro Ray quote the Psalms and fellowshiping with them after service. This world has truly lost a soldier for the Lord but heaven gained another angel. May the Lord bless you and help you in the days ahead!

Condolence: Rev. Aiken was a special person. The last time we visited Midway, he was showing me the stain glass window that survived the fire. It had been placed in the new church building. As a former member, that meant a lot. Our youngest daughter. Katie was trying to take a picture, but was too short to get a good shot. Rev. Aiken picked her up and stood her on the church pew,I was surprised she let him, she is very shy..When we left she said, Mom I have only known him for 5 minutes but I really like him. That was the way he was! He was such a blessing! Looking forward to seeing him again.Praying for the family.

Condolence From: Sammy, Anela, Alex and Caitlin McMahan
Condolence: Aiken Family you are in our prayers. We can just see Pastor Aiken's smile when he stepped over into heaven. When my daddy JB was dying of cancer he did not miss a day visiting with him and the family. He was a great man and there are fewer and fewer pastors like him. We know you miss him but such a blessing to know where our loved ones are when they leave this earth. Please let us know if there is anyway we can help your family. We love you all.

I thought I was going to need to move to another state to get him to leave me alone. Thank God he didn't my wile and I were saved and our friendship has remained. Condolence From: Robert and Sarah Bradley
Condolence: Dear Aiken Family, While listening to WGCR yesterday morning and listening to the message that Bro Ray preached "He Went On His Way Rejoicing", I thought how appropriate that was. He was already gone and I am sure that he went rejoicing in the Lord. Bro. Ray and Sister Jean and all of the Aiken family have meant so much to us over the years as missionaries. Our prayers are with all of you.

Condolence: DEAR FAMILY, YOU HAVE LOST A GREAT MAN. A GENTLE LOVING MAN. A MAN WHO STOOD BY HIS CONVICTIONS IN A WORLD THAT SOMETIMES DOES NOT LIKE THAT. HE STOOD FOR THE EXAMPLE OF CHRISTIAN LOVE. YOU NEVER WOULD SEE HIM HE DID NOT DO THREE THINGS 1- GREET YOU, SHAKE HANDS, AND TELL YOU WHAT THE BIBLE SAID. WHAT A WITNESS THAT WILL ALWAYS BE. THERE IS NO TELLING HOW MANY HE HAS BROUGHT TO THE LORD. BUT I AM SURE IT IS FULLER AND FRICHER FOR HIS BEING ON EARTH. PLEASE KNOW THIS TOWN HAS LOST A WONDERFUL PERSON, PREACHER. WE ARE PRAYING FOR YOU. MAY GOD HELP YOU IN THE COMING DAYS WHEN YOU WANT TO PICK UP THAT PHONE AND CALL HIM,BUT KNWOW HE IS NOT THERE TO ANSWER. AS A DAUGHTER I KNOW THAT FEELING. HANG ON TO ONE ANOTHER. THAT IS WHAT HE WOULD WANT. STAY TOGETHER AS A FAMILY. AND KNOW THE CIRCLE WILL NOT BE BROKEN. LOVE TO ALL.
