Obituary for Henry Bramlett Nicholson
Brevard – Henry Bramlett Nicholson, 79, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 6, 2016.
A native of Transylvania County, he was the son of the late Charlie and Alberta Bracken Nicholson. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Janie Hogsed Clemmer, a brother, Harry Nicholson, a grandson, Trale Nathaniel Whitmire, and a son-in-law, John Whitmire.
Mr. Nicholson was a member of Rosman Baptist Tabernacle. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and he retired from Ecusta Corp. after 48 years of service.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Guyma Whitmire Nicholson; son, Rev. Charles Nicholson and wife Cheryl of Brevard; daughters, Judy Nicholson Carper and husband Ben of Greenville, SC, and Clarinda “Cloey” Nicholson Whitmire of Brevard; brother, Rev. Claude Nicholson and wife Shirley of Brevard; grandchildren, Daniel Nicholson and wife Kim, Caleb Nicholson and wife Brandi, Steven Nicholson and wife Nicole, Adam Nicholson, Carolyn Kelterborn and husband Jon, Logan Carper, Joshua Whitmire, Sissy Whitmire, and Trale Isaac Whitmire; five great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Rosman Baptist Tabernacle with Rev. Charles Nicholson, Rev. Eddie Dodson, Rev. Claude Nicholson, and Dr. Ben Carper officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorials may be made in honor of Mr. Nicholson to Ecusta Credit Union, 2074 Asheville Hwy., Pisgah Forest, NC 28768.
