Condolence From: Diane David (BLISSING)
Condolence: We just heard about Frank's passing. Lynn, Eileen and I send our deepest condolences to his family. We met Frank numerous years ago when our acapella trio, Blissing, started to sing at Heather Glen. He was one of our biggest fans and we just adored seeing him and his smiling face when we sang. We had planned on surprising him by showing up on Jan. 29th to sing for his birthday but it seems that he had plans to join your mother. We will really miss him.

Condolence From: Franklin Yartz DVM
Condolence: I had the distinct honor and privilege of practicing veterinary medicine with Frank, and his older brother Bob, from 1980 until they retired. On paper, I was their "boss" since they had sold the practice and wanted to stay and work a few more years. Despite the fact that I was technically in charge, there was no mistaking the fact that I was the student and they were the teachers! I learned so much from those two wonderful men about life, people and veterinary medicine. I also saw their dignity, pride in veterinary medicine, and how they gave back to our profession to make it better. Frank (and Bob) were ground breakers who were always looking forward and leading the way. So long Frank, you were a mentor and a friend.

Condolence: Dear Jeff, Mark, and Marcia -- I am so very sorry about the loss of your father. He was a wonderful man (as was your mother) who made so many important contributions to the world of veterinary science in general and to his client's beloved animals (including my own) in general. "Uncle Frank" was an important part of my childhood memories. Your parents were long-time friends of my parents, Roger & MaryLou Zimmerman. I always considerd Frank to be my honorary Godfather despite the fact that in 1958 he strongly discouraged me from pursuing my dream of going to Vet School because back then girls, according to him, "really couldn't get in unless she can carry a cow across a football field in less than 3 minutes." Of course now, that's not the case! Still, I have so many memories of him treating our family dogs, sharing trips on my parent's boat, and just knowing he was always there when I had a canine medical emergency. I have told many people stories about being him and the impact he made on me and the care of my animals. He certainly lived a long life and made lasting memories for many of us. Please accept my deepest sympathies. With warm wishes -- Lynn Zimmerman Beman

Condolence: I remember both Frank and Bob as legends of veterinary medicine when I first came to Buffalo in 1979. All new graduates emulated their remarkable knowledge and wisdom. He was missed in the community when he retired and he will be missed by all who knew him.

Condolence: I didn't know Dr. Frank McClelland, Jr. but listened to my sister who spoke often about him. During his long productive life, he made this world a better place. We can ask no more of anyone. Rest in Peace, you've earned it.

Condolence: McClelland family you have my sympathy for the loss of your dear loved one. The pain, grief, and the feelings of helplessness can seem unbearable. At such times, we need to go to God's word for comfort. Please read 2Corinthians1:3,4. Continue to pray to the "Hearer of Prayer" and he will comfort you now and in the days to come.
