Obituary for Floyd Harley Souther

Etowah – Floyd Harley Souther, 85, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2017.
A native of Henderson County, he was the son of the late Dewitt Talmadge Souther and Reba Pearl Case Souther and was the husband of the late Ann Galloway Bowen Souther. He was also preceded in death by sisters, Florence Clay and Louise Houk, brothers, John and Tommy Souther.
Mr. Souther was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a member of Etowah Baptist Church and had been very active in the Etowah Lions Club. Mr. Souther was retired from Ball Corp.
Survivors include two brothers, Robert Souther of Mills River, and Franklin Souther and wife L. E. of Hemet, CA; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the Etowah Lions Club.
