Obituary for Susie Hoxit Maybin (Hoxit)

Penrose – Susie Hoxit Maybin, 74, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 8, 2017.
A native of Transylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Alvin and Rachel Alexander Hoxit and was the wife of the late Fred Maybin. She was also preceded in death by and infant son, Mickey, and brothers, Ralph and Glen Hoxit.
Mrs. Maybin was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and Nana.
Survivors include three daughters, Sandy Daves and husband Ira, Suzann Wilson, Sherry Peacock and husband Gary; son, Ricky Maybin and wife Debbie; three sisters, Kati Blythe, Polly Hamilton, Ruth Mae Owenby; three brothers, Robert, Roy, and Tom Hoxit; six grandchildren, Crystal Holden, Chris Daves and wife Brittnee, Kayla Wilson, Ryan Daves, Allen Wilson, Ashley Peacock; five great-grandchildren, Madison Holden, Makenna Holden, Grayson McCall, Walker Daves, Hunter Daves; numerous nieces and nephews; special people in her life, Nikki Houston, Kayce Nixon, Candace Bishop, Armando Ramirez, Erika Ramirez, Rosa Olivares.
The funeral service will be held at Noon on Saturday, February 11, 2017 in the Moody-Connolly Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Gary McCarter and Stanley Adcock officiating. Burial will be in Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family would like say thank you to the nurses at the Oaks of Brevard and Transylvania Regional Hospital for the loving care she received.
