The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Arvle Manley can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Jim McCall
Condolence: Aunt Jackie,

On behalf of Sean, Mary, Jim & Katie, we extend our warmest condolences with the passing of "Unc." Please know that while we will be far away this week, your Alaskan family will be with you in spirit.

I once recall Unc telling the story he thought I would never talk as a child until one afternoon, while painting the porch, I approached asking if he wanted a story. As I recall, he later quipped, "the boy hasn't shut up since!" I suppose that is true. He was just the first of many to endure my gift of gab!

Unc endured many fishing trips, at a critical time in a young child's life, and those memories, plus many more, are fondly cherished. It was great to spend time together, including lunch, during my visit in late 2013.

We are grateful for his service to our nation and for being a valuable memory of our family.

Aunt Jackie, we love you dearly, but most of all, we are thankful Unc bumped into you while in France and decided to bring you home. I'd say that was his best decision in life.

Stay strong Thursday, for it's a day to celebrate wonderful memories, much love, and of course, Unc's dry sense of humor. It's what I believe he would want most.

Much Love,
Jim & Family,
Palmer, Alaska
