Thomas Earl Simpson, 64, of Pisgah Forest, NC, went Home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 5, 2017. He passed peacefully surrounded by his family and friends.
Born April 17, 1952, Earl was the third child of the late Marvin Thomas and Louise Chastain Simpson. A lifelong native of Transylvania County, he graduated from Brevard High School, Class of 1970. He was a member of Boylston Baptist Church. Part of the startup team at Rockwell International in Fletcher, he retired after many years of employment from Arvin Meritor.
He is survived by his wife Teresa Simpson; son Nick Simpson and wife Celena; son Sean Gevedon; daughter Kymberly Thomas and husband Barry Painter; son Warren Thomas; brother Sam Simpson and wife Glenda; sister Carol Jackson; grandchildren Andrew Simpson, Kaitlyn Simpson, Michael Najera, Emily Najera, Dylan Thomas, Dalton Thomas, Peyton Thomas, Theron Thomas, nieces, nephews, and other extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents Marvin and Louise Simpson, and brother-in-law Randall Jackson.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at 3:00 p.m. at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory (formerly Pisgah Gardens), Highway 64, Pisgah Forest, NC
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2017, at Boylston Baptist Church. Visitation with the family will begin at 1:00 p.m. followed immediately by the memorial service at 2:00 p.m
