Obituary for Frank Allen Cogdill

Frank Allen Cogdill, 81, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 14, 2017.
A native of Jackson County, he was the son of the late John Willie Cogdill and Ada Adams Cogdill. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Furman and Gene Cogdill; his sisters, Lou Fisher and Betty Cogdill.
Mr. Cogdill was a member of Glady Branch Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the US Army and he was retired from DuPont. Mr. Cogdill was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fishing, and sitting on his front porch.
Surviving are his children, Patti Cogdill Lance and husband Tony of Brevard; Rev. Mickey Cogdill and wife Martha of Mt. Airy, Jill Annette Davis of Pisgah Forest; sister, Sue Campbell and husband Wayne of Sylva; grandchildren, Chase Lance, Michael Tate and wife Morgan, Clayton and Christopher Cogdill.
A memorial service will be held at 1 PM Monday, July 17, 2017 in the Moody-Connolly Funeral Home Chapel with military rites provided by the Transylvania County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
