Anthony Shawn  Austin Sr.
Anthony Shawn Austin, Sr., 52, of Mills River, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2017.
A native of Transylvania Co. he was the son of Frenda McCall Austin of Mills River and the late Freddy Marion Austin.
Mr. Austin was of the Baptist faith. He was a veteran of the U. S, Army, a member of Dunn’s Rock Masonic Lodge, a member of the NRA, and a member of the US Concealed Carry Assoc. Mr. Austin was the former General Manger of A-Plus Computers in Brevard.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his children, Anthony Shawn Austin, Jr. and wife Casey of Mills River, Brittany Lynn Austin of Mills River; step sons, Bryan Austin and wife Karen of Salisbury, NC, and Eric Austin of Bloomington, MN; brother, Marty Lee Austin and wife Debbie of Pisgah Forest; maternal grandmother, Mattie McCall of Balsam Grove; grandchildren, Branson, Ryleigh, Sadie, and Mattie-Ruth; nephew, Brian Austin; niece, Beth Hare.
The funeral service will be held at 2 PM Monday, November 6, 2017 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory with military rites conducted by the Transylvania County Honor Guard.
