Sterling Gray  Paul Jr.
Sterling G. Paul, Jr., 65. husband of 43 years to Patricia (Patty) Paul of Cedar Mtn., earned his Angel wings peacefully at home on Thursday, November 16th, 2017.
He was born in Wanchese, NC to the late Sterling G. Paul, Sr. and Almeda Faye Barnett Paul.
Mr. Paul graduated from Marathon High School in Marathon, FL. He moved to Tavernier, FL where he raised his family and where he always enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, ATV riding with his sons, also having special times and making memories with his grandchildren. He retired from Entenmann’s Bakery after 32 years of covering the Florida Keys. He enjoyed volunteering for the Tavernier Fire Dept. in Tavernier, FL for many years.
After his retirement, Mr. Paul moved to Cedar Mtn., NC. He enjoyed working part time at Ingles in the seafood dept. He enjoyed joking around and pulling pranks with his fellow employees and his favorite customers. His dream of owning a Harley Davidson became a reality a few years ago. He and his wife enjoyed riding the Blue Ridge Parkway in the mountains of Western NC.
Survivors include, in addition to his wife, his sons, Sterling G. (Jen) Paul III and grandsons, Brandon and Sterling “G”, Robert L. (Vanessa) Paul and grandchildren, Isabella “Bell”, and Robert “R.J.”. Jr., Steven C. Paul and granddaughter, Summer; brothers, Jerry, Bill (Jan), Bobby, and Ellis (Lilly) Paul; sister, Hazel (Todd) Chabin; mother-in-law, Christine Nicholls; brothers-in-law, Bruce Kelly, William (Evon) Nicholls; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews that he dearly loved. He will truly be missed by his loving Yorkie, Ellie.
A celebration of his life will be planned in the summer per his wishes to honor his life.
