Obituary for Ruby Jane Rigdon (Baynard)
Ruby J. Baynard Rigdon, 94, of Forest City died on Monday, January 22, 2018.
A native of Transylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Walter and Irisie Ball Baynard. She was preceded in death by her son, David Rigdon; brothers, Grady and J. D. Baynard and sister, Gladys Bumgarner.
Survivors include her son, Don Rigdon and wife Jean of Banner Elk; daughter, Janice Paris of Forest City; sister, Grace Austin of Penrose; grandchildren, Matthew, Kimberly, Monica, Ashley and Jennifer and 14 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11am, Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Little River Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Nelson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in Little River Baptist Church Cemetery.
