Maurice Bryan Butler, Sr., 79, of Rosman passed away Friday, February 2, 2018.

A lifelong resident of Transylvania County, he was the son of the late Samuel and Salenia Galloway Butler. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Mary Green Butler and a brother, Donald Lee Butler.

Survivors include 4 children; Patricia Butler and partner Tim of Little River, Maurice Bryan Butler, Jr. and partner Savannah of Rosman, Samuel “Eddie” Butler of Rosman and Charles Patrick Butler and wife Vickey of Rosman, brothers and sisters; Alma Green of Rosman, Judy Crowe and husband Howard of Rosman, Sandy Madison of Garland, TX, Arlene Gilstrap and husband Jack of Pickens, SC, Julia Ann McWorter and husband Fred of Easley, SC and David Butler and wife Martha of Brevard, 12 grandchildren; Bryan, Dustin, Kyle, Amanda, Amber, Emmalee, Tegan, Chris, Kayla, Shawn, Shane and Joseph and 22 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 2pm, Wednesday, February 7, 2018 in the chapel of Moody-Connolly Life Celebrations. The family will receive friends from 12pm until 2pm. Interment will follow in G. W. Whitmire Cemetery.
