June Davis Owen, 74, of Brevard passed away Monday, February 12, 2018.

A lifelong resident of Transylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Bethel and Clyde Ramey Davis. She was preceded in death by her son, David Charles Owen.

June, also loving known by all as Nanny, was a strong lady who enjoyed crafts and cooking. She had a warm open, caring heart and did not know a stranger. She was a wonderful wife, loving mother and grandmother, fantastic sister and friend.

Survivors include the love of her life for 60 years, husband, L. C. Owen, sons; Donald Lee Owen and wife Debbie of Little River and Lloyd Owen and wife Norma of Pisgah Forest, daughters; Deborah Ward and husband Robbie of Dandridge, TN, Darlene Leonard and husband Randy of Mills River and Michelle Galloway and husband Derrick of Rosman, brothers; Glenn Davis and wife Thelma of Little River, Jack Davis and wife Nancy of Mills River and Jim Davis and wife Pat of Washington State, sisters; Lona Mae LaGant of KS, Louise Baxter of Washington State and Mary Rehberg of Washington State, grandchildren; Kimberly, Landon, Keven, Michaela, Jared, Wesley, Ray, Austin, Levi, Riley and David, 9 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 3pm, Friday, February 16, 2018 in the chapel of Moody-Connolly Life Celebrations. The family will receive friends from 2pm until 3pm. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory.
