Dwayne Jeffery McCall, 53, of Brevard passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at his home.

A native of Transylvania County, he was the son of the late Hubert Eugene McCall. He was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Eugene McCall and his brother in law, Mark McCall.

Dwayne was the 4th of 5 children to the McCall family. To know him was to love him, he never met a stranger. He was a very hard worker. He had great sense of humor and a heart of gold. He adored family, especially his nieces and nephews who affectionately referred to him as “Uncle Wannie”. He was a big fan of blue grass music.

Survivors include his mother, Edith Galloway McCall; his beloved, Fonda McCall; brother, Rev. Michael McCall and wife Connie of Balsam Grove; sisters, Marsha Henderson and husband Dexter of Balsam Grove and Cindy Ownbey and husband Barry of Balsam Grove, many nieces and nephews, one special little girl, Kennedy Whitmire and fur babies, Bentley and Josey.

Funeral services will be held 1:00pm, Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Shoal Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Michael McCall, Buster McCall and Patrick Owen officiating. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00 pm, Wednesday, March 7, 2018 in the chapel of Moody-Connolly Life Celebrations.
