Betty Faye  Nicholson (Rogers)
Betty Rogers Nicholson, 90, of Brevard passed from earth into glory on Friday, March 16, 2018.

A native of Transylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Carrie Rogers. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Ray Nicholson, brothers, H. G. Rogers, Jr., Thomas Claude Rogers, Robert Clifton Rogers and John Hershel Rogers, sisters, Mary Finlay and Bertrick Holcombe.

Mrs. Nicholson, was Betty to all of her friends until her first son was married and she became “Momma Nick” then her first grandchild was born and she was affectionately known to all as “Grandmother”. Church was an important part of her life. She raised her children in Selica Methodist then actively served at the Church of the Nazarene until she became a member of the Brevard Wesley Church. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and homemaker. She loved cooking and was a great cook that always had a delicious plate of food for anyone that came by. She kept an immaculate home and took much pride in her family. Above all, she loved and served Christ.

Survivors include her children, Roger Finlay Nicholson and wife Betty of Pisgah Forest, Carroll Nicholson of Lake Toxaway and Furman Nicholson and wife Cathy of Hendersonville, grandchildren, Rebekah, Ruth, Lauren, Leah and Andrew and great grandchildren, Silas, Mamie, Emmett, Shane, Wyatt, Roan and one on the way.

Memorial services will be held 11:00am, Saturday, March 24, 2018 in the chapel of Moody-Connolly Life Celebrations. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
