James T. Wilson, 86, of Lake Toxaway went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 14, 2018.

He was the son of the late Robert and Mattie Shepard Wilson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Will, Grady, Mack, Charles and Franklin Wilson, sisters, Velma Ruff, Fannie Galloway, Roma and Bessie Wilson.

Mr. Wilson served his country in the US Army. Church was a very important part of his life. He enjoyed hunting and fishing but above all, he adored his family.

Survivors include the love of his life, his wife of 67 years, Beverly Mathis Wilson, son, Rick Wilson and wife Denise of Brevard, daughter, Valerie Pangle and husband Rick of Rosman, grandchildren, Jessica Fisher, Heath Wilson and Alaina Pangle and great granddaughter, Aubree.

Graveside services will be held 11am, Tuesday, April 17, 2018 Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Lake Toxaway.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 649 Kim Miller Road, Lake Toxaway, NC 28747.
