Robert Lance "Bob" Hadley
Robert (Bob) Lance Hadley of Cocoa, FL
It is with a heavy heart that the family of Robert (Bob) Lance Hadley announces his passing on Tuesday April 24th, 2018, at the age of 76 years.
Bob was born in Clermont, FL on January 1st, 1942. He is preceded in death by his parents Harold and Dorothy Kindred.
He is survived by his wife Debbie Routh, his daughters: Kristy Raulerson (Weaver) of Webster, FL., Tracy Hadley (Gary) of Winter Park, FL., Teri Cloutier (Don) of Montverde, FL. and Cathy DeSimone (Pete) of Destin, FL. His grandchildren: Dillon, Logan, Lauren, Trey, Ryan, Conner, Amrah and great grandson Braxton.
Bob proudly served in the National Guard and was an expert marksman. He worked for Florida Power & Light for over 30 years starting as a meter reader, lineman and then into management before retiring in 1997.
Bob had a passion for life, he loved his family immensely, was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was a proud person who respected life and cared for all of those who surrounded him. Bob had tremendous character that led him to be a prankster at times.
Bob was an avid outdoorsman, true sportsman and a passionate wildlife conservationist. He just recently achieved the "Grand-Slam" in turkey hunting, which he had pursued for many years. He was widely respected throughout the National Wild Turkey Federation and was inspirational and instrumental in raising awareness and funds for the Space Coast NWTF Osceola Gobblers where he served as Treasurer on the Board. Bob lived his life to the fullest and cherished his time with his wife Debbie and their pets. He was generous with his time and gave back to the community in many different ways, one of which was volunteering with Meals on Wheels delivering to those in need. Bob will be remembered as a kind, compassionate, honest and caring man of great faith.
A celebration of Bob's life will be held at The Merritt Island Moose Lodge on Friday, May 11th at 3 – 6pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Bob can be made to the The Parkinson’s Foundation, 200 SE 1st Street Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131 or The Space Coast NWTF Osceola Gobblers, c/o Keith Houston, 1242 Dixon Blvd, Cocoa, FL 32922.
