Lucille Henson Silvers, 97, of Brevard, passed away on May 26, 2018 at Givens Estates, where she was a resident for the past 8 months.

She was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Alma Henson. She is also preceded in death by her husband, of 60 years, Van Silvers, her sister Mildred Sweet, and brother Frank Henson.

She was someone who loved unconditionally, someone who put others before herself, and someone who could always be counted on. We love you and we'll miss you, of this we're sure; but we know you're at peace and happy in that land that will endure.

Survivors include her daughter Sharon Forehand and husband John; two grandchildren, Dustin Forehand and wife Julie, and Devon Stepp and husband Jeff; and five great-grandchildren, Everett, Reid and Zuri Forehand, and Gillian and Genevieve Stepp, sisters, Wilma Raxter, Chris Dockens, Ruth Fanning, and Betty Sherwood.

The family would like to express their sincerest gratitude to Givens Estates Health Center and their caring staff; and to CarePartners and CarePartners Hospice of Asheville.

Funeral services will be held 1pm, Saturday, June 2, 2018 in the chapel of Moody-Connolly Life Celebrations, 181 S. Caldwell Street in Brevard. Family will receive friends an hour before the service.
