Obituary for Lucille Shipman (Shelton)
On Thursday, June 14, 2018, Clarace Lucille Shelton Shipman left her earthly home for her heavenly home to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Mrs. Shipman was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth D. Shipman, her parents, Rev. Roy and Bessie Shelton, brother, Eugene “Bo” Shelton, and two sisters, Mary Lou Owen and Mildred Stamey.
Survivors include two sons, Dwayne Shipman and wife Annette, and Darrell Shipman and wife Delayne; three daughters, Tammy Shipman, Donna McCall and husband Tony, and Kim Lamb and husband James; 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family; special friends, Irene Wood and Leona Zachary.
A celebration of her life was held at 3 PM Sunday, June 17, 2018 in the Moody-Connolly Funeral Home Chapel. The family received friends one hour prior to the service. Burial was in Gillespie-Evergreen Cemetery.
