Obituary for Charles Edward Chapman

Charles Edward Chapman
Charles Edward Chapman, 76, of Brevard, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 3, 2018. He was the son of the late Richard D. and Ora Stamey Chapman. Charles was also preceded in death by his siblings, Richard Chapman Jr., Lawrence Chapman, Edna Chapman Davis, and Inez Chapman McCall.
Charles was a member of Old Toxaway Baptist Church and had a deep love for the Lord. He truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; NASCAR racing, hunting, fishing, and spending time with others. Charles loved his family, being a Paw-Paw to his grandchildren, and his dog Pete. He was a simple man, but the genuine and everlasting impact he had on others around him was anything but simple. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Doris Chapman; brother Larry Chapman and wife Anita; five daughters, Lanie Chapman and partner James O’Shields, Teresa Henderson and husband Mike, Leann Hibbs and husband David, Marley Orr and husband Rodney, and Katie Chapman; nine grandchildren, Amanda, Layla, Nikki, Dalton, Emma, Brock, Camryn, Isabelle, and Ryleigh; and five great-grandchildren, Ciara, Khloe, Tyler, Thomas, and Brian.
A visitation will be held at Old Toxaway Baptist Church on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 from 2:00-3:00 pm and a graveside service will follow at 3:00 pm in the church cemetery officiated by Rev. Shaun Dodson.
