Wallace Buckner, age 72, passed away peacefully into the arms of his Heavenly Father on Sunday, July 8, 2018.
He was the son of the late Esby Sr. and Beulah Galloway Buckner. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Eloise Galloway and Gladys McCall, three brothers, Elmer, Esby, Jr. and Elzie Buckner.
Wallace cherished his relationship with Jesus and held tight to his faith throughout his life. He was an ordained minister and felt blessed to exalt the Word of God. He will be deeply missed by his family all of whom loved him dearly.
Survivors include two daughters, Angela Toole and husband James and Patricia Paxton and husband Jeff, three sisters, Faye Taylor, Evelyn Whitmire and Mildred Buckner, grandchildren, Eric, Ryan, Tyler, Colby, Kristen, Chaz and Braeden, four great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private graveside ceremony will be held at Woods Cemetery to celebrate his life and lay his body to rest alongside his parents and brother. Wallace’s cousin and lifelong friend Rev. Ray Von Galloway will officiate.
