Obituary for Pauline McCray Nye
Pauline McCray Nye, age 92 of Glenville, NC, passed away on Sunday, August 5, 2018.
She was born on July 4, 1926 to the late Eskridge and Bertha Armstrong McCray. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Captain Paul Legg, second husband Thomas Nye, son, Ted Legg, daughter, Teresa Ann Legg, sister, Josephine Stickler and stepson, Thomas Nye II.
Pauline, formerly of Buckhannon, WV, was a graduate of Webster Springs High School and WV Business College. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Buckhannon, WV.
Survivors include two daughters, Paula Ann Hagan and husband Jerry and Penny Wilson and husband Billy, one step daughter in law, Susan Nye, one sister, Beatrice Lewis, one brother, Brooks McCray and wife Rena, four grandchildren and one step grandson.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gideons International, Brevard Camp, PO Box 1338, Brevard, NC 28712.
A Memorial Service will be held 2pm, Sunday, August 12, 2018 at the First Spanish Church in Cullowhee, NC with the Rev. Jerry Hagan officiating. Inurnment will be in Upshur County Memorial Park in Buckhannon, WV.
