Obituary for Myrtle Queen

Myrtle  Queen
Myrtle Golden Queen, age 73, passed away Saturday, October 3, 2009 at the John F. Keever Solace Center.



She was born March 5, 1936 to late James and Wannie Mathis Golden. She is also preceded in death by two sisters, Ruby Golden Lawson and Brenda Golden and two brothers Dee Golden and James Hutson Golden.



Survivors include; Three sons David Queen and wife Teresa, Jeffery Queen, and Roger Queen and wife Matilda, all of Balsam Grove. Two daughters Mrs. Joyce Queen Arant and husband Gerald, and Mrs. Tammy Queen Kimsey and husband Charles Ray all of Balsam Grove. Three brothers Talmadge Golden of Tuckasegee, NC, Junior Golden of Brevard, NC and Douglas Golden of Sylva, NC. Eight sisters Imogene Golden of Michigan, Kathleen Golden Ball of See Off Mtn, NC, Madeline Golden Woodard of Sylva, NC, Erestine Golden Shook of Brevard, NC, Sadie Golden Axelrod of Florida, Charlotte Marie Golden Kittredge of Georgia, Edith Leona Golden of Sylva, NC, and Julie Ann Golden Luker of Sylva, NC. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.



Funeral services will be held October 6, 2009 at 2 PM at the Old Woods Church, conducted by Revs Michael Queen, Johnny Robertson, and Chris Owen. Burial will follow in the Woods Cemetery.



Family will receive friends Monday October 5, 2009, from 7-8:30 PM in the chapel of Moody-Connolly Funeral Home.
