Obituary for Flora Littleton "Polly" Dodson

Flora “Polly” Littleton Dodson 88 of Brevard went home to be with the Lord on May 2, 2015 surrounded by her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and friend.
She was a native of Jackson County and the daughter of the late Homer Hyles & Louise Fowler Littleton. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Alvin Dodson, a son James ”Hoppy” Dodson, a grandson Robert James Knight Jr., brothers Don and TC Littleton. She retired from Belding Corticelli.
She is survived by her son Randal (Teresa) Dodson; daughters, Louise “Tiny” (Albert) Campbell, Brenda (Tommy) Cantrell, Marlene (Tim Nesto) Wilson, Charlene (Vince) Stone, Annette (Pete) Raines, Kim (Steve) O’Kelley; daughter-in-law, Loretta Dodson and fiancé Gary O’Shields; 20 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren; adoptive son Ricky (Michelle) Moseley; one sister Peggy Mason of Brevard; two brothers, Charles (Dora) Littleton of Etowah and Jecky Littleton of Brevard; several nieces and nephews.
We would like to express special thanks to Pastor Don Johnson for his many visits and prayers and to our hospice nurse April Hayes.
The funeral services will be held Wednesday May 6, 2015 at Open Arms Tabernacle at 2 pm. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening 6 to 8 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory.
