Obituary for Edna Inez Owen (Ducker)
Inez Owen, 87 of Lake Toxaway, passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2018.
She was born in Buncombe County to the late Byron and Edna Davis Ducker. She was preceded in death by her husband Ray S. Owen, son, John R. Owen, sister, Betty Lytle and brothers, Robert and Solon Ducker.
Mrs. Owen owned and operated the North Toxaway Restaurant and Grocery. She was also a nurse in Transylvania County for many years.
Survivors include her daughter, Robin Macklin and husband William of Hollywood, FL, sister, Grace Scruggs of Mills River, beloved daughter in law, Monica Owen, grandchildren, John (Kristie) Owen, Laurell Owen, Andrea Owen, Jonathan (Nathalie) Macklin and Lorrick (Jake) Rider and seven great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave, Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
Graveside services will be held 2pm, Wednesday, April 4, 2018 in Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory.
